
John Barringer is a stockbroker, financial advisor, and Certified Financial Planner practitioner (CFP®). He is a founding member of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (NASPP) Colorado Chapter. He currently serves as Chapter President. John also serves on the review board of the National Board of Certified Option Advisors (NBCOA) and is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO).
John's work with clients focuses on corporate executives, especially those who are subject to SEC Section 16(b) and Rule 144. He also has numerous public company relationships for which he provides employee stock option financing and specialty equity transactions, including block trading and 10b5-1 plans. John holds Series 3, Series 6, Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, and Colorado insurance licenses. He is registered to do securities business in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, and Wyoming.
John has assisted in the development of employee stock option analysis software published by Net Worth Strategies and Brentmark Software, which financial and tax advisors nationwide use to model employee stock ownership and stock option exercise strategies.
