Stock Retention Policy
Company requirement to keep a certain percentage of shares obtained in an option exercise or restricted stock vesting. Thus, with a retention ratio you may not exercise your options and sell all the shares in a same-day sale. Companies adopt this requirement for senior executives so that they show their focus on long-term performance. For details of this topic, see the FAQ on share ownership and stock retention guidelines.
