John P. Barringer
John P. Barringer, the author of our Stockbrokers' Secrets article series, is the Managing Partner of Executive Wealth Planning Partners in Denver, Colorado. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) practitioner. He is also a founding member of the Denver Chapter of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (NASPP) and currently serves as Chapter President. John is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO), and Global Equity Organization (GEO).
John has specialized in advising public company employees on stock compensation since 1988. John worked as an executive financial services director at a major brokerage for five years immediately before starting his own registered investment advisory in 2015, where his work with clients focuses on planning for corporate executives, especially those who are subject to SEC Section 16(b) and Rule 144. He also has numerous public company relationships for which he provides stock plan administration solutions, qualified plan services, and corporate cash management. John holds Series 3, Series 7, Series 8, Series 63, Series 65, and Colorado insurance licenses. He is registered to do securities business in Arizona, California, Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, Washington, and Wyoming.
