Michael Beriss |
As part of his practice, Michael speaks and writes on financial topics for businesses and associations across the country. He has developed and taught seminars to educate executives, employees, and financial professionals about financial planning with employee stock options and other sophisticated tax planning. He has spoken to many groups and been widely published. He has also been quoted in many publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Money, Reuters, Ticker, and Bottom Line Tomorrow.
Previously, Michael worked as a tax associate in the law firm of Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco. He received his JD and the Vanderbilt Medal for Leadership and Public Service from the New York University School of Law and his BA in Economics from the University of Colorado.
Michael is co-President of the Washington, DC, chapter of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals and is a member of the Financial Planning Association, National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO), and the District of Columbia and California State Bar Associations. He has NASD Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 licenses and Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia, Arizona, and Colorado life and health insurance licenses. In addition, he has securities licenses in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, Arizona, California, Colorado, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
