Michael Gettelman is counsel to Farella Braun & Martel, San Francisco, specializing in corporate and securities law. He is Editor of the Corporate Counsel, Corporate Executive, and Section 16 Updates newsletters, as well as the Section 16 Forms and Filings Handbook and Section 16 Treatise and Reporting Guide. These publications are devoted to the legal, tax, and accounting issues in equity compensation.

Michael began his career with the New York Regional Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and received his BA from the University of California. He is a member of the Committee on Federal Regulation of Securities of the ABA Business Law Section and its Section 16 Task Force and is on the Advisory Board of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (NASPP).
