ISOs: Limits

What other limitations apply to ISOs?
In addition to the $100,000 limit, the bar on issuing ISOs to nonemployees, and the required granting of ISOs at fair market value with terms no longer than 10 years, other rules exist in IRC Section 422 and IRS regulations. They include minimum holding periods and limited exercise windows after termination of employment. These affect the tax treatment.
