Form 941

The Employer's Quarterly Federal Tax Return. This form is used by employers that must withhold income tax, Social Security tax, or Medicare tax from employees' paychecks or must pay the employer portion of Social Security tax or Medicare tax. If an employer makes a withholding error and discovers it during the year in which the mistake occurred, the company makes an adjustment on the next employment tax return with Form 941-X.
