Informal term used to denote the most generous type of
tax-qualified employee stock purchase plan (ESPP). Features of these ESPPs include a 15% discount on the purchase price, a
lookback feature, a 24-month
offering period with four six-month purchase periods, and a
reset feature that is triggered if the market value on the purchase date is lower than it was at the enrollment date. For more on this type of ESPP, see an
article from the consulting firm Infinite Equity.
