Automatic Securities Disposition Plan (ASDP)

The Canadian equivalent of the Rule 10b5-1 trading plan in the United States. Like the Rule 10b5-1 plan, the ASDP is a pre-established program for automatically trading company stock. Its purpose is to provide an affirmative defense against any charges of insider trading because it is set up before you know confidential, important information that may affect your company's stock price.
